Social investment has now been an active policy area in the UK for more than two decades. Has it turned out as hoped? Has social investment created the envisaged transformation in financing of the social sector? This Snapshot report takes some time to step back and review what has taken place over the past 20 years, and to offer some reflections from the Flip Finance team on where we have got to, and where we might go next.
