On 03 February 2016, we worked with three social enterprises in London to help them to understand how they can ‘DIY’ their own social investment deals. Birdsong and Mindapples and Tule Hill Hub joined the Sprint, along with Matt Fountain from the Freedom Bakery, who has successfully DIY’d his own Social Investment Tax Relief (SITR) deal. Matt and Dave Boyle from the Community Shares Company worked alongside the Flip Finance team with the organisations, assisting them in devising approaches to raising their own social investment. It was a hands-on session, followed by drinks at the White Swan in Fetter Lane.
More about the organisations we worked with:
- Birdsong is an online fashion brand.
- Mindapples promotes public understanding of mental health.
- Tulse Hill Hub is a local platform to connect the community.
